A productive weekend
I’ve been designing som new sweaters today. I am using a sketch I’ve made for linocutting. It worked perfectly on a sweatshirt. The Artwork is filled with symbolism. As I love having hidden meanings in my art. The stripes on the right symbolize 2 3 3 2 which is the number for the bright Morningstar. In revelation 2:16 you can read.
”“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.””
And next to the stripes is more stripes. The number 2 3 2 . Which is the number for ”Let there be light” as you can read in Genesis 1:3.
The seven dots from the three directions symbolize the Holy Trinity . And the painting itself shows how God is lighting the sun on the forth day, with the three closest planets out in space.
This kind of artmaking is a kind of meditation on the word of God for me. I can zoom out of ordinary life and thoughts and through making art about Bible verses I can sort of marinate in the living word.
Ever since I got breast cancer this has been crusial for me. I don’t have the concentration span on the medications I’m on, but by making art I get a constant reminder of Gods word.
